I wasn’t clear: I did the drop! With only Juni there to see it. Did it 6 times. I dropped up one side and down the other!

Amanda took that with a crusty old disposable that was in my camelback for 2 years. She should get some kinda award. If you could clean it up I’d really appreciate it. I don’t know if I’ll ever do something that big again.

I heard that was my new nick name.
the sweetest part of that jump was watching Grizz put it all together. i thought he was HIGH when he started working out the initial parts, preriding the log and stick ladders that led to a 3 foot gap-step up jump onto the top of the boulder, then imagining how to control his speed from there down the boulder and finally, the huck and runout. it was perfect.
he’s got to do it one more time for the good camera.

The run up was the scary part. I thought I was going to hook my back tire on the gap and endo down the face of the rock and rag doll off the drop. We’ll see about next summer. Maybe we can drive in on that road and do a little photo shoot. That bike really sucked on the rest of the trail, and if I eat shit it’ll be easy to get me out of there.
