The fruitcake writes:

Rode 3 laps after dark till batteries needed swapin, 20 min massage and got too cold cooking dinner. Crawled in bag for nap @ 11 pm, Woke up @ 7 AM! Back in saddle 8:30 loadedfor bear, rode 3 laps, left it all out there. "Und now it begins" 700 miles of drivin. 1:11 pm 2/18/07

Maybe Griss cornered all the fruit-cake-judgement yesterday?

THIS JUST IN!!!

The race is over and J.r. has reported in. In a strange turn of events "his better judgment" kicks in twice in one week. In his realization he has no crew to feed him, keep him warm, and throw is ass out of the tent for another lap - not to mention his 15 hour solo drive home to look forward to, he let's himself sleep if needed. I will let him tell his own tale (or he will be wiring the info to Wolfy for an official TBS post), but he is finished, safe, and feeling good.

Mileage report : Greater than 100 but less than 200. He can tell you.

I'm not J.R. (but I know him pretty darn well). I'm awaiting his next message or call though. Race officially ended 30 minutes ago, but rider can/have to finish their last lap regardless of time. So, I think he is wrapping up the last one as I write. Will keep you posted when he checks in at home base!

This just in from McD:
4 laps in 5 hrs, 60 miles. Break now. Lights from here on. Vulture bike rocks! 4:40 pm

By 11 he said he'd done another three laps and had a hard time of it. Took a trip to the massage tent for some back and neck work. Sounded fresh to me. I advised him to hit the jump.
