Stable at Speed, Nooner, Oso, Smokes, and I parked at the upstream end 1st Divide/Lavazzola Tr. intersection and span up the road to the take out for 2nd Divide. From there it was up, up, up to the top of the 2nd Divide/3rd Divide. That's a pretty stiff climb on a single speed... Descending down 3rd Divide was real nice. there has been very little traffic out there thanks to snow up high. A quick jaunt back on the Lavazzola Trail brought us back to the vehicles in time to enjoy happy hour, get a pizza, and catch the 3rd night of the Banff Film Festival in Downieville. In fact, if you have a kayak you may want to bring it along to play along the eddielines at these campsites...or you may just want to do the North Yuba - Goodyear bar run (http://www.cacreeks.com/yuba-nfg.htm). These sites can be buggy in the summer, so be sure to bring a comrade with skin more tender than yours. Great campsites along the river just downstream of Downieville.
