dirtness

Reno, NV April 10, 2007 Team Bacon Strip Publications LLC. Announces the formation of a new dirt lifestyle magazine featuring articles, photos and reviews of dirt related products, adventures and profiles dirtbags of varying degrees of notoriety. “It’s basically a chance for us to show the world how cool dirt is,” says TBSP Managing Editoy Wolfy. “Right on! It’s a totally Gnar’ shredin’ rag for the rock-huckin’ onegearcrankin’ shredabillys in the world,” agrees Japhy Rider, TBSP Editor-At-Large.

The publication will run 24 times a year and will be delivered on time regardless of geographic location, “Which is a fairly big change for the outdoor adventure publication magazine industry,” says Wolfy. “Yep,” says Japhy Rider, “Caaacoooowww Caa Kaaaaaa!”

“I’m really excited to see TBS take this big next step,” says Wolfy. “What we have here is the opportunity to make the world not only a little dirtier, but a little more, you know, What’s the word I’m looking for JR?” he muses. “Ubercalafraglishredtasticugnar!” JR adds. “Yeah, what he said.”

Wolfy reports that TBSP is in negotiations with a major movie production studio for possible titles such as, “Team Bacon Strip 3000,” “Dirty Rider,” “Six degrees of Team Bacon Strip,” and “The Huck Tater story,” a straight-to-video erotic biopic of Huck Tater, featuring tastefully shot bike-related scenes of adult nature. “All will feature soundtracks of music from Hank III, Tom Waits, and some chick with a super sultry voice or something,” JR adds. “I think Team Bacon Strip has a lot to offer the community, and I’m excited to be taking this next huge step for society,” says Wolfy. “Giddyup yall punkabitches!” says JR.

wouldn’t that be Volume 3, Issue 1? the annals of mags and zines here at the Emily St. tavern - bike shop - bistro - burrito - dog friendly zone contain Volume 1, Issue 1 and Volume 2, Issue 1.

We may also have some trademark dilution issues to overcome…

    wolfy,

you look soooo hot in black tights!

when do we get to read some of the winners from “wolfy for a day” contest?

You should see me in pink tights…

As soon as you write one, which will naturally win, I’ll post it for all to read!

It can be about your fantasy of being me for a day, OR being WITH me for a day… It’s wide-effing-open.

Of course some may not be aware of this, but RedBeard and I are voice twins. Though vastly different in visual appearance, completely indistinguishable on audio tape.

i can’t recall ever seeing both of you in the same place, at the same time - seeing double doesn’t count. are you sure you shouldn’t just come out of the closet and tell everyone your real identity, Red Wolf?

PS- speaking of zines, THE MOUNTAIN GAZETTE LIVES!!! i got #130 in the mail yesterday. new format, new feel between the tips, but so far so good with content though it’s a little shy on volume. only prob with the shiney paper is

    1) it now gets low marks for serving dual duty as “mountain money”
    2) probably won’t burn as well, if one were in a fix and needed to start a warming fire, or wanted to burn said spent “mountain money” rather than bury or pack it out…

either way, i’m happy to finally have another Gaz around the house. bring it on!

Glad to see the MG is back also. The current issue is fairly lame though, except for the one-pager about buying the girly pink w/flowers twintips which I thought was hilarious. Like the new size though. It now fits easily into my briefcase, the better for pulling it out during one fookin’ boring meeting after another here at the Bureau of Bureaucracy.

Can’t bitch about it lately…they paid me to ski at Aspen two weeks ago. I can now vouch for the fact the really rich people generally do NOT drop the knee.

Re: Wolfy’s fiction contest…I’d contribute, but it would be an article about great it is to NOT be Wolfy for a day…e.g., how nice it is to have a free-spinning, 7-cog casette on the back wheel…or, speaking of things that are free to move, how nice it is for one’s heels to be unrestricted when skiing…bwahahahaha
