If we’re backing up it’s just to get a running start…

hands up bbq not at all sure what’s happening in this photo…

Got the scoop on Sean and Matt’s road trip, so I initated the BBQ countdown and used it a motivation to pull the trigger on a new grill and finally become a man. We had Matt, Sean, Mark, Amanda, Lee, Cameron, Barrett, Dawn, Jani, Jason, Danielle and Vanessa! It was killer!

Then next day we had a kiler mutant ride from Thomas Creek over to Whites, Galena, back to Whites, down to Thomas Creek Road and back up to the cars (and beers). We had everything from a few SS made by the riders, to Sean Martin on his 90lb nomad. That guy did more work than the rest of us for sure including a little shoplifting @ the Thomas Creek Chevron.

Later we met up for beers and chow @ The GBB. Don’t have any photos of that, but look for some to post up over @ 4500 feet and climbing and Stable At Speed.

It was awesome to get such a cool group together for that ride! Hopefully we can manage stuff like that again. What was the mileage on that? How long were we out? Did anyone get a shot of Smithers going into that creek?

Would be great to get more rides like this going in the future. Only maybe about twice as long. I guess that what The Coolest 24 hour race is for. If you’re a local reader and a ss, fs, sufferfest, doggie, ride with home made energy bars sounds up your alley, let us know!

90lbs? Seemed closer to 100. Thanks again for the nice words of support and the last bites of breakfast burritos from the ladies… “that’s no lady…

Gotta take off my hat to Sean M. for all the climbing. I know it was all so you could beg babalicious betties for bites of burritos….

Gotta also say yippee! to VNast for just being doggone amazing on the 2nd 1spd ride in her career.

Had a great ride with all. Good fun.

    Must do that again soon…

Word. (as the kids are saying these days, again)

I swapped out my cog for a 18 tooth after getting stomped by you ‘tards. up two teeth to a 18, and added one half link. Perfect goddamn fit. Y’all with the track ends or eccentrics are what I like to call: suckers.

In closing I’m going to change my name to Shaun in hopes that it makes me a badass.

Just when you think that putting the last initial will let people know which Sean you were talking about, you realize that 2 Seans were Sean M. So we are all changing our names to Sean, Shawn, Shaun, or Shauna (for the ladeez). This will keep confusion to a maximum.

I should have also said it was great to see Sean McG and Dr. Sean (aka Matt). It is always good to turn ‘foreigners’ on to local trails, riders and burritos…Hope you guys had fun. Hope you will get back this way and/or up at the lake this summer.

To the team, thanks so much for all the hopitality. It was a great ride with great company followed by great beer. Not much more I could’ve hoped for. I appreciate it and would be happy to return the favor if any of you all decide to swing through SF. Happy riding.

yep. that was real fun. ahhh, twice as far? no prob. with the light snowpack we’ve had in the Tahoe area this year, i speculate we’ll be riding The Monster Ride by mid-June. just be sure to bring more food. Flux B’s a vet of that tour. he’ll vouch for the peggin’ the suckocity meter while toiling up past Marlette Lk at 6pm, 10 hours after starting the ride and 9 miles from the finee!

ooo, my hands are starting to sweat. can’t wait to do lots of super rad dirt traverses this summer.
