Reno Rambler Commits to BTW Month!

[?]

Reno Rambler is going to ride to work all 22 work days this month. I’ll see that and raise him all my grocery shopping in May, done by bike. Who’s with us!

I’m shooting for 15+, probably the best I can do. :( But that’ll include hauling my son to daycare in Sparks on the morning of 5/18.

Would anyone be interested in riding to the Bicycle Advisory Board Meeting with me on may 17th?

Wish I could but it interferes with work. Represent, yo!

    Grocery shopping! haha

Does that include all the runs to 7-11 for beer? Or just regular groery shopping?

It would be cool if making beer runs to 7-11 by bike WAS your job.

I’m serious about the groceries. Smella has been getting loads of food from the Co-Op for weeks, and I’ll get stuff from Albertson’s down on Virg and plumb. It’s just hard to get a bike to either of the culinary and human interaction armpits that are Winco!!!
But EFF IT! I’ll do all my shoping for the Coolest 24 hour race by bike too!!!

ps I like to get beer from the indian grocery next to college cyclery. They have a good porn selection, a place to stash my bike, and I get to see if there’s anyone sleeping in Kokopeli’s patio.

it’s May 1st and i have 100% compliance! i’m shooting for trail-bike to work honors though, so hopefully if it rains, it won’t keep me out of the dirt. today’s commute brought me up from Keystone and McC, towards the “holy house” and NW over the rocky hilltop (opted out of the roughed-in DH trail with my laptop in my pack) down Evans to the condos and down the pavers to the lab for work. tonight, i’ll scope some alternate routes home, including more trail!!

As for me, I did go to 7-11 today, but drove. It was raining. However, I rode to school today and I never committed to do that. Do I get a compliance pass? Also, the wind was in my face in both freaking directions.

Agreed. I think we need a way to buy bike-to-everywhere credits. Drink a beer whilst(and at the same time) standing on your head and we’ll call it good.

I have a great grocery bike with baskets. But it would take three trips to trader joes just to get my weekly wine supply. Maybe I need to switch to hard liquor. Takes up less space.

5 of 6, not a bad start. At least the weather is starting to cooperate; I’m not gonna take the fenders off yet, however.
