The Bacon Strip

At Earth Day the Bike Valet Parking was handled by the Reno Bike Project. Thanks guys!

Of Course I chatted up Noah for a minute and gave him a TBS Sticker. They have some good links on their blog, including this paper on urban transportation, This Photo Petition, in addition to their commitment to making bikes the king of the roads.

Which means we are on the same team. Which means we would
wife swap but none of us have wifey so scratch that idea.
no but really rad blog i like your banter.
um, hmmm. i met one of you at earth day,
i think your name was like buck or eilas or tonto or kevin or
something.
anyway lots of things going on with the bike project in the next
couple of months so we will keep you posted but the next thing coming
up is Bike to work and school day Pancake feed. Friday, may 18 at sound and fury
records on the corner of wells and wonder we are hosting the most
badass commuter stop
ever to honor cyclist who commute. and while yes there will be a bunch
of tofu toting hippies, bacon and sausage will be the guest of honor. [emphasis added]
coffee will recieve the key to the city
and pancakes will be there to soak up the whiskey before work. So We
invite all of you
to come and celebrate with us and if you want to help great other wise
come and enjoy breakfast on us. hopefully there will be a some sort of
entertainment or neil diamond cover band or something badradical that
will attract the attention of the police so that the famous phrase “do
i smell bacon?” can be used with out fear of retribution.
We Will make a poster soon with all this info and mail it to you in
hopes of riding the coattails of your blog to infamy.

p.s. We need a space to start our community bike shop cuz lots of
people want bikes,
which we have, but they need work and we need a place to do it. So
keep your eyes out if
you can and talk to people you know and get the word out. We want to
get this project rolling and we are going to need everyone in the damn
community to do it. thanks again.
