This just in from McG:

hey all,

my weekend ride opportunities are kinda limited, especially since I took 4 weekends off for races already, but I think I can finagle the 15th of July off. anyone care to join me a some kind of death march. tahoe rim? i have a loop near kirkwood that’s pretty tough too. whatever.

  1. I think most of us are going to Downieville that weekend. You could join us! Might be a spot left in the xc race. And I’m sure we’d be up for something there on Sunday.

Maybe the illusive Huck Tater will be around. Although I think he’s on a super secrete spy mission to assassinate a Russian oil magnate in Algiers…

    hey,

the downhill is on sunday, the xc is saturday. i guess i could make an attempt at dfl on my ridgid ss in the downhill.

it wont be the same without you wolfy et all.

the bear river to kirwood and back loop will be almost as fun. it’s free and no parking issues.

  3. i’m in for the trail riding. fun as it is, the Downieville Classic takes a close 2nd to a long day riding new single track with Mr. Calavera Cycles. though i haven’t been riding much lately – i’ve been doing all kinds of other enduro activities. last week was chocked full of 10-14 hour days geeking out. today was another one, but all about travel. flew to LA this morning, loaded up equipment at a field site, then drove 500 miles home. stopped only for fuel, Stone IPA, and famous fish tacos at the gas station in Lee Vining. can’t wait to ride my bicycle tomorrow with The Shredder and Oso.
