I suppose this isn’t that extreme. But still. My ass got hott!!! Thank god I was wearing a cycling shirt when I forgot my lycra/polyester @ home Saturday when Taldor and TheReslesssApe and I hit the Tahoe Rim Trail from Spooner/Kingsbury. Thanks for the fine Patagucci Socks Taldor! Between the green shirt and the orange pack I matched the Stately Pleasure Bike quite well!

taldorWeather was fine, a little hazy in the Tahoe Basin. No biggie. A few runners, a few hikers and a very few bikers. That section from the bench to Kingsbury is the best. Definitely worth the ride in the rough stuff.

I want to be a real man. Wear can I purchase Man-pris? Will I need to shave my legs?

Wolfy will have to clarify, but if you happen to be a real live breathing homosapien, you’ve got a good starting point. then, just do what you normally do - with contagious enthusiasm and fanatical zeal. a few seasons later, hold still long enough for someone to get a still of you with a toothy grin and threadbare clothes, maybe a fever blister and calloused hands, feet, and sit bones. raise a soda and salud… i guess if you’re in a hurry you could just go to the mall and buy some acid washed jeans, then to the thrift store for a castaway bicycle and some old vans, and finally into the streets. but then what?

it looked like a fun ride, fellas. sorry to have missed it - we were preoccupied sleeping in, then toiling UP Tunnel Ck at 1400, out the Flume, and down Chimney Beach. fun fun fun!

    J.R.
How’s that Chimney Beach D.H. right now? Haven’t ridden it since early June, when it was freshly free of snow and tip-top chocolately goodness. Is it still smooth and fun, or dusty and bumpy?

quite dusty with some bad skid ruts and studder bumps. “some rain would do that dusty dirt some good”

Three fresh piles of bear shit out by work from this past weekend. Is it anything like that? I can help you drink bear. Just let me know.
