This Golden Cowboy Boot was in the middle of a busy intersection near my office yesterday morning. It’s a fine example of things that are seen in Reno - the things that make one ask why? and how?
My interpretation includes a pimp named Leonard who gets the crap kicked out of him by a few of his ho’s on a Wednesday Night in Reno, losing one of his Gold Boots during the scuffle.

Leonard woke from the first dream he’d had in years in which the woman was on top. Usually shit like that brings a smile to his lips, this time though the light blazing through the half slit blinds as the sun was about to go down behind the Vine st overpass made him wince, which made him moan with the pain from the crusty splitting lip. He got up, pulled on his golden cowboy boots and kicked the bed back up into a wall.
The kitchen was a mess, which is like saying that the hippo pool at the Stockton Zoo is full of pachyderm offal, but it had milk and it had Lucky Charms. It had the things a man needs to survive. Sugar, beer, a little food and nudy calendar.

Leonard, aka Golden Teefus, crossed 4th thinking future fame of being on the Golden Pimp Awards. While picking his teeth, the toothpick fell to the ground, he smiled as he laid eyes on the new cowboy boots he just purchased. He marveled how good they felt, the smell of leather and the first person he’s ever seen wearing gold boots. As he picked up the toothpick he realized he needed to move fast as the 12:00 bus was approaching. He picked up the toothpick grinning but as he stood up and turned around, his trick knee stiffened. The bus carried Leonard away leaving one golden boot.
The people of the Golden Pimp Awards are in the process of rethinking what the new trophy should be. The Golden Boot, in memory of Leonard aka Goden Teefus.
