<description>I went back out there yesterday and there was still pow pow to be skied! I even found some untracked lines skiers right to where we were droping in on Monday.
I ran into Dave and Ray getting after it... was a lil jealous I must say as they poped open a couple of Barley Pops as they summited... gotta get my act together damn it!!!

We&#039;re expecting... &quot;5 to 10 feet,&quot; so the experts say! I&#039;ll believe it when I ski it!

<description>This is a special weather statement from the weather channel via www.weather.com:

...PROLONGED PERIOD OF WET AND WINDY WEATHER LIKELY THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

A DEEP TROUGH AND ASSOCIATED POWERFUL JET STREAM WILL BECOME ESTABLISHED OVER THE EAST PACIFIC AND WEST COAST BY LATE WEEK. THIS WILL SET THE STAGE FOR A SERIES OF STRONG STORMS TO PUSH INTO THE SIERRA BEGINNING THURSDAY AND CONTINUING THROUGH SUNDAY.

CONFIDENCE IS HIGH WITH RESPECT TO SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL IN THE SIERRA. AT LAKE LEVEL...INCLUDING SOUTH LAKE TAHOE AND TRUCKEE...STORM TOTALS OF 1 TO 3 FEET ARE POSSIBLE DURING THE FOUR DAY PERIOD. STORM TOTALS ABOVE 7000 FEET ALONG THE SIERRA CREST COULD BE ABOVE 5 FEET WITH AS MUCH AS 8 FEET OF SNOW POSSIBLE.

IN ADDITION...WINDS ARE FORECAST TO BE UNUSUALLY STRONG WITH PERIODS OF BLIZZARD CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY FRIDAY AND AGAIN ON SUNDAY.

ANY BREAKS IN THE SNOWFALL DURING THIS TIME PERIOD ARE EXPECTED TO BE SHORT- LIVED CAUSING TRAVEL IN THE SIERRA TO BE DIFFICULT. PERSONS PLANNING TRAVEL LATER THIS WEEK AND OVER THE WEEKEND SHOULD MONITOR FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS CLOSELY.

This what we&#039;ve been waiting bitches and bitchettes...!!!

PS - Nice skiing with you freaks and have a happy new year. I&#039;ll post when I&#039;m not so tired!
