It was great camping with you guys. Thanks for putting up with our shenanigans and our often drunk and obnoxious behavior.
We have discussed the race rules repeatedly as well as reading the race manual and the website. They are FUCKED! You guys deserve your 9th place and those guys can go FUCK THEMSELVES.
First, we think it’s ridiculous that anyone be forced to ride a lap period. If you go to 6pm and you don’t want to ride anymore, so be it. If it’s 11:30 and you are toast and don’t want to ride, don’t ride. No, they force you to finish a lap after the end of the race.
Second, they don’t give you enough time to finish for many of the racers. Their time schedule did say that the last rider finished at 1:15, but it didn’t explain it at all. SCREW THOSE GUYS!
Third, and this is unrelated, we think we might do solo category next time. That way we could all ride together if we wanted to and our laps would still count. We could actually be more social if we raced solo. Weird, huh?

Reedster, never met you but I love the warm and fuzzies!! The good news is I just looked at the results and they changed them. Calaveras Smoked Bacon 9th place, JR 6th place(my oh my),TBS 28th and the Zissou was gettin down with a Creek called Knob. At least that’s word on the street. You guys killed it!! Good f-ing job to ya’all especially you Mark. Many free barley’s from my wife next time you are in. I wish I could have been there…but I was trying to be a good text messaging/internet stalker and all. Cheers to a good race.Cheers!
Did I mention I think they got hosed. I’m glad the results got reinstated, that’s way more fair. The Zissou shoots blanks. We completed 12 laps, but only 8 were official because we chose to ride some of them as a group. One teammate drove 650 miles to the race, and then turned around and went home without touching dirt. We think it was the weather, but maybe it was the bad CV joint in his van. When we were shivering in the cold and he was home with an Oly he didn’t sound bitter.
I’m back at work now, so the weekend’s potty mouth is pretty much gone.
