That is a damn fine piece of work. Tell me what store that is - I’ll start buying my beans & hominy there and maybe I’ll see the groovin’ clerk & cowboy routine.

    Thaaaat’s Craaaaazy!

    TBSers,

4/20 ride is this Sunday. Meeting at “Coffee And” in downtown Truckee at 6:30 for a greasy-ass breakfast, spiked-coffee, more greasy-ass breakfast and more spiked-coffee.

    Gregg’s Email:

Da’ skinny: Meet at “Coffe And” resteraunt (old town Truckee) at 6:30AM. Let’s try and get some sort of carpooling thing going on BEFORE meeting for breakfast. If we try to drop cars and whatnot after breakfast, we’re going to be in Truckee all morning and be riding Scotts Drop Trail in the dark. Also, we’ll be meeting people at the campground and it’d be rad if we were somewhat on time.Leaving cars at Safeway or Longs/Savemart is your best option if meeting in the morning. You’re 5 minutes from Coffee And. If you’ve never been to Coffe And, think more “greasy spoon” than “whole foods” for menu options.
So far for carpooling there’s a Subaru with myself, Aaron, Mike Nunes and Tyler to round it out.
Try and get out of Truckee by 7:30. this get us to Scotts Flat Campground around 8:30. We’ll be parking in the day use area of the campground, all the way at the end of the campground. See map. http://www.scottsflatlake.net/html/campsite_maps.html
After all that, it’s going to be your standard 4-20 ride complete with ups/downs, starting/stopping, lost/not lost, trials/tribuations, good times and cold beers afterwards.

The loop: Scotts Flat Road climb to hwy20. Pioneer to Lone Grave. Head north on misc singletracks to Cooper Rd. Wicked Fast dirt road descent to North Bloomfield Rd. Descend North Bloomfield Rd to Edwards Crossing. South Yuba Trail to Washington. 6 mile climb to hwy20 / Pioneer Trail. Pioneer Trail to Scotts Drop Trail.

RSVP so I know how much beer to bring. Anybody wanna bring some munchie food for apres’ ride?

    G.

About 45 miles in 10 hours or so, yeah, it’s not race pace, but it’s not a race course either so leave your number plate at home. Trust me, the ride will challenge you, it’ll be fun, and you’ll ride with cool people and maybe make some new/rad bike friends… and who can turn down beer and bullshit after a ride anyway.

Fuck the road race Griz do the fo’ twenty and live vicariously!

PS - the mileage is a rough guess from what Stubbie thinks. Call me if you have any questions.
Oh, and the Yuba trail in and around Edwards Crossing and the town of Wasington is kinda Halls Ranchish from what I hear. I’m guessing that’s where we loose some time. Hope to see you girls/guys there!

if i were Grizz (ha), i say, “IT’S ON LIKE DONKEY KNOG!”

there is no thing i’d rather do more on Sunday than spend 10 hours trail riding with pals. barring unforeseen circumstances, i’ll be there.

Wolfy, I wish you could make it. I think you should spend “Earth Day” riding the earth! It’ll be a good training ride for the cool race. Hipy cougars don’t shave anyway…jeez! Oh well, we’ll get pics for you.
Glad you’re making it J.R. Can’t wait to shred with you. Start bugging Griz about the ride if you have time… we need at least one person with a number plate… Haha!
