Mrs. DUI's court date is in early August. i'll be there to testify on the behalf of the State at the request of the prosecuting attorney - but don't get me wrong, all i know is i was riding along and WHAM! BOOM!! UF-DA... I'm face down in the dirt and worried that if i try to stand up, i'll be paralyzed. turns out that i can deal with my injuries and that i'll be back to my "normal" self sooner or later. she didn't split, she isn't runnin', but she blew it. she'll have some time to get things squared away and boyitellyouwhat, if that isn't enough to get her shit straight... i've ridden trail 2 or 3 times (which really helps keep things in scope) since this happened and w/i that period of time we've had our first baby. honestly, i don't know if the lady that hit me is still in prison. i know she has family. laying in the dirt there, between bouts of telling me she was sorry, she said her kid(s) were soooo mad at her. i hope she/they get something figured out very soon. officially, charges against me for riding w/o a battery operated flashing light were dismissed.
