Get used to the smoke
RenoslashTahoe is set to remain Flavor Country for the indefinite and immediate future as the American River Fire Complex might not be contained until OCTOBER!!!! That spells bad news for people who like aerobic exercise, the outdoors and lung health. But what are you going to do? You can’t blame California for everything. They’re doing the best they can. It does make our Nevada smoking ban seem a little meaningless. Why can’t we be down wind of Humboldt county?!!?

W_O_W_!!!!!D_A_M_N_!!!!! Nice find Wolfy.
So the million dollar question is…is it really bad for you! Or should we just sit on the sidelines, not ride and wait for Cali burn up and fall into the ocean-sorry I get a lil frustrated when I cant ride!
Good Question:

I can tell you my whole nose/sinus thing is a mess. blood, irritation, green stuff. Not good. It’s almost like my body is telling me that breathing isn’t the best thing for me now. But it does look like it’s getting better today and there’s a chance for rain over tahoe. Of did they say “thunderstorms…”

They usually consider those people doing exercise outside as “people at risk” as well. I feel for you guys. I’ve had to take some days off when SoCal was buring the last few years. I also sometimes have to skip evening workouts when the air is crap. But, that hasn’t happened since.. Yesterday.
At least here the smog is fine in the morning, so I can beat the bad air by exercising early. I’m not sure you can do the same with your smoke.
Good luck.
