   LowCO2 - how’s it felt to cue up at the LT100 in the midst of Floyd Landis and Lance Armstrong in the last 2 years? even better to race with Dave Weins, i’d bet. that fella is super nice, and obviously, gonzo strong. he’s a dad too - last year at the Vapor Trail 125 he was running the first aide station that riders encountered after sunrise. his son and son’s friend were rallyin’ around while i warmed up by the campfire and inhaled the PB&J that Dave made for racers. the VT is just around the corner now and i hope to see him again this year. i don’t know if he’ll be racing or working the VT, but i’d be surprised if someone like Armstrong would be in for the kind of fun the Vapor Trail race demands. let’s just say i’m planning to wear adventure riding shoes (more like hiking boots) instead of Sidis.

   Ed took some great pics during the race. makes my palms sweat just looking at em…

   Hey There,
   Yes, my favorite part is saying I am now in the same class as Lance and Floyd — we’ve all lost to Dave! Yes, I’m really proud to say I’ve lost to Dave, that puts me in very good company. Dave’s a super guy, a real class act who hangs out, talks to people and says the nicest things. I just can’t believe that Dave can keep coming back and keeps getting better, wow, really wow. I’m not sure I’m up for the vapor trail, but it sounds awesome.
   This year marks 8 LT 100’s and I’m not getting any faster — time to up the effort. I made a commitment to myself on Tues and said I’m going to start now training again and get better. Time to hit the dirt. See you out there.

   I think Single Speeding and cyclocross would give you the base you need. In fact, Single speed cyclocrossing would be even better.
