Cameron Pass, 12/5…big storm the last two days, 2-3 feet of very nice light fluffy stuff, ditched work and lo & behold…NOBODY in the parking lot. The 50 mph winds and +5F temperature might have had something to do with that. No wind up top though and the…snow…was…perfect. Did I mention the snow was perfect? Oh yeah, and also, the snow was…ah, skip it.

This brings back great memories – a frequented skiing option on the weekends when I was at University of Wyoming. Cameron Pass was the closest big mountain area to head to for pow – lots of great options. Looks like you had a great day up there, S-B

Hey taldor, did you ever ski any backcountry in the Snowy Range when you were at UWyo? Our field site is up there, good skiing when the snow hasn’t been turned into horrendous windcrust.

M, you WISH you were swimming in bacon. But we all know how hazardous that is, which is why we put up the warning signs. Hey, it’s probably less dangerous than the bacon bra. I have yet to see the bacon bra. For reasons I can’t comprehend, the server at work blocks that site.

If it’s any comfort…went up to Trail Ridge on Saturday and it was bulletproof dreck. A bad day skiing is better than a good day at work, but that one kinda pushed the envelope.
