Riding Costa Rica

Back in mid-September the La Ruta team gathered in Costa Rica for a reconnisance trip looking at the La Ruta course. We rode most but not all of it. I ran helmet-cam for most of it and finally got around to editing some of the footage. The most amazing day was the third day I was there, where we rode the rain forest. I rode a bunch of it with a guy who has a below-the-knee amputation and he rode hard, laughed hard and just had a great time. Last year he came in 25th overall in the race. Just watching that reminds me of the insane fun that slogging through miles of mud can be. Plus there’s no doubt this can be really inspiring to see Dax doing it and kicking all of our butts as he did.

The race is Nov 17-20. Gonna be fun…
