I finished today very strong and I feel good. 9:41 is the official time, just 3 min behind Chris Carmichael. The Cararra pass was insane climb-a-bike, that’s an upgrade from hike. I saved one teammate by fixing his chain and he repaid me with an awesome pull throughout the final kilometers and we finished together. No idea what tomorrow will bring, but will post.

I still feel pretty good, I’m pleased about that. Today was hard 11,000′ of climbing packed into 40ish miles. 30% grades are the norm around here, apparently  I rode Chris’ wheel out the start and into the first of many climbs and I felt I had a lot more in my legs than the speed he was going so I pulled up alongside him, said “Jay (my coach) tells me I have to take 3 min off you today, sorry” and with that I stepped on it and left him. Ended up 6 min ahead at the finish. Feels good to actually have held him to that over 7 hours.

No, working on a final post. Need to get back to it. Finished in about 31.5 hours, middle of the pack. Flat-out destroyed me and has taken quite a while to come back to slightly alive.
