A Climbing Wall @ Fitzgerald’s
Just saw this via Larry DiVincenzi on Facebook. Seems cool and ambitious. Not sure how they’d get a climbing wall on that side of the building. Maybe they mean the side that faces the plaza over the trench. That would be a cool venue for climbing events. I’d like to see the research that makes them think there’s enough market for such a thing. Would be rad to go down there for that! -M
According to documents filed with the city of Reno, the property will have a new name “Comm Row” The grand opening will be sometime this summer. But there’s a lot more to this property than a name, there’s also a climbing wall.
The proposed climbing wall be on the South Virginia side of the current Fitzgerald’s. If approved by the planning commission with the city of Reno, it will be the largest climbing wall in the world at 168 feet. The only thing close to that height is in the Netherlands.
But a climbing wall is just one aspect of an ambitious project. The wall is the marquis of Comm Row.
