Hey all,

The long awaited Build-A-Bike maintenance course is finally here.

Build-a-Bike starts June 4, and is going to be taught by Ed Jenson, a
veteran of the Washoe County School District and professional bike mechanic.

This program is going to be a comprehensive look at biycles and how to
repair them. From flat tires to rebuilding wheels, Ed and the RBP volunteers
are going to teach you how to do a complete overhaul.

There are six three-hour courses, starting Wednesday, June 4th. And
continuing for the five following Wednesdays.

Participants can either bring their own bicycle or purchase a bike from RBP.

Cost of the class is $50 and includes most everything except a bicycle.
Space is limited to 8 spots so sign up fast.

The Grisley Aftermath

The Grisley Aftermath

Originally uploaded by i am indisposed

Many of you have heard the news that Gris. just had the best
road race ever…o.k. so you didn’t hear that because it has been
overshadowed by the aftermath of a gnarly crash. The current tally is a
concussion, dislocated collar bone, some busted teeth, 6 stitches, two black
eyes, and a whole lot of road rash. I know he appreciates all the love he
has been getting via calls and e-mails but he doe not want ya’ll to worry
too much.

Bigger problem is that Team Bacon Strip just got served the bill by CalTrans
for repair of the damage his face did to the road. WTF! How many members of
team bravo did you take out Gris!!!!!

I’m in Salt Lake City until friday. I’ll send Smella up with some flowers.

Hugs and Kisses,

-M

back up your backup

thats how i roll

quick public service announcement here: the Beers, Tears, & Fears mtb enduro is coming up about a month.   anyone onboard with a rally out to Ely, NV for some grass roots bike racing?  roll out Thursday evening, bivy near the tubs in Big Smokey Valley, home by Sunday afternoon?  sleeping in a park in downtown w/i stumbling distance from the pubs is always fun!  besides, there are the Egan Range trails and the new Cave Lk trail to check out.
